Early life and education
Bebash Chandra Kar was born on 1 June 1978 in Chandpur, Bangladesh.
He completed his primary and secondary education at Hasan Ali Government High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree at Chandpur Government College, followed by a Master's degree from Chittagong City College.
A new life in Italy
In 2000, Bebash moved to Italy. From his earliest days in Milano, he engaged in social work alongside running a small bar business — his first introduction to the Italian community on the ground level.
Those years built the relationships and language skills that would later allow him to navigate, and eventually serve in, Italian public life.
Entering Italian politics
Driven by a deep interest in mainstream Italian politics, Bebash joined the Democratic Party (Partito Democratico) in 2003. He spent nearly two decades building relationships, learning the system, and serving the community.
In 2021, that work was recognized: Bebash was elected as a Councillor in Milano — the first person of Asian origin in the city's history to hold this office. A historic milestone for representation in Italy.
Current focus
Today, Bebash is preparing for the full Milano municipal election, leading a campaign team of 18 people. This is his primary mission for 2026.
Alongside politics, he continues his work as an influencer — helping the Bangladeshi diaspora in Italy connect with Italian culture, engage with mainstream politics, and embrace Italy as their own country.
His message remains the same: direct service, honest communication, and staying close to the people.

Spinto da un profondo interesse per la politica italiana, nel 2003 Bebash ha aderito al Partito Democratico. Per quasi due decenni ha costruito relazioni, studiato il sistema e servito la comunità.
Nel 2021 quel lavoro è stato riconosciuto: Bebash è stato eletto Consigliere a Milano — la prima persona di origine asiatica nella storia della città a ricoprire questo incarico.
Il presente
Oggi Bebash si prepara alle elezioni comunali di Milano alla guida di una squadra di 18 persone. Continua il suo lavoro come influencer, aiutando la diaspora bangladese a integrarsi nella cultura italiana e a sentire l'Italia come la propria casa.
Il suo messaggio resta lo stesso: servizio diretto, comunicazione onesta, vicinanza alla gente.
প্রাথমিক জীবন ও শিক্ষা
বিভাস চন্দ্র করের জন্ম ১লা জুন ১৯৭৮ সালে বাংলাদেশের চাঁদপুর শহরে। তাঁর শিক্ষাজীবনের শুরু হাসান আলী সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় থেকে। পরে তিনি চাঁদপুর সরকারি কলেজ থেকে স্নাতক এবং চট্টগ্রাম সিটি কলেজ থেকে স্নাতকোত্তর ডিগ্রি অর্জন করেন।
ইতালিতে নতুন জীবন
২০০০ সালে তিনি ইতালিতে পাড়ি জমান। মিলানে যাওয়ার পর থেকেই তিনি বিভিন্ন সামাজিক কর্মকাণ্ডের পাশাপাশি বার ব্যবসার সাথে যুক্ত হন — যা ছিল ইতালির সাধারণ মানুষের সাথে তাঁর প্রথম সরাসরি পরিচয়।
মূলধারার রাজনীতিতে যাত্রা
ইতালির মূলধারার রাজনীতির প্রতি গভীর আগ্রহ থেকে ২০০৩ সালে তিনি ইতালির ডেমোক্রেটিক পার্টিতে যোগ দেন। প্রায় দুই দশক পরে ২০২১ সালে বিভাস মিলান শহরের কাউন্সিলর নির্বাচিত হন — শহরের ইতিহাসে প্রথম এশীয় বংশোদ্ভূত হিসেবে।
বর্তমান লক্ষ্য
বর্তমানে তিনি মিলান শহরের পূর্ণাঙ্গ মিউনিসিপ্যাল নির্বাচনে অংশ নেওয়ার প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছেন, ১৮ জনের একটি দল নিয়ে। তাঁর বার্তা আজও একই: সরাসরি সেবা, সৎ যোগাযোগ এবং মানুষের কাছাকাছি থাকা।
